Chanchal Chowdhury has been reigning in the hearts of Bangladeshi audiences through his recent performances in web series, films and OTTs. He has recently returned from a trip to Kolkata, after attending Hoichoi's event. He was spotted mingling with Prosenjit Chatterjee in pictures, which quickly went viral on social media.

"I've rarely seen an artiste as humble as Bumba da," said Chanchal Chowdhury to The Daily Star. "He is a huge star, but he will never let you realise that in his vicinity – you will always be spellbound when you hear him speak."

Chanchal said that he is always keen on complimenting other artistes, and this time was no different. "I first met him when we were shooting for the film 'Moner Manush'. He always had a soft spot for me since then," said the "Aynabaji" famed actor. "He still treats me like a younger brother." Chanchal went on to explain that their relationship is a close one.

The actor, who recently won at Blender's Choice- The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards, went to Kolkata after 3 years. "There were many other artistes from Bangladesh and India – Aparna Sen, Deb and Mir, just to name a few."

Even before Chanchal's Kolkata trip, Prosenjit had called Chanchal and complimented him on his acting. "When he saw me at the event, he embraced me and said, 'you have to come to my house this time'".

With a team of 10 people, Chanchal went to his place. "We talked about various things for more than 3 hours." Also present were Brindaban Das' family, Chanchal's wife and son, Intekhab Dinar, Bijori Barkatullah, and director Syed Ahmed Shawkee.

This trip, in particular, was memorable for the artiste. "After we were done having dinner, Bumba da presented gifts to my son, and Khushi's two children. I will remember this gesture forever."

Prosenjit Chatterjee's residence is a famous one – a film featuring 'Mohanayak' Uttam Kumar once commenced here. "After he bought the place, he did not demolish it. It will be the subject to many stories in the future, for sure".

Besides this particular invite, Chanchal and his family spent almost every day in this trip mingling with artistes, spending some precious moments together. "This will surely be some times that I cherish forever," said Chanchal.
