Trailer for ‘Pathaan’ out: SRK looks to give Tom Cruise a run for his money

The much-awaited trailer for "Pathaan" is finally out and Shah Rukh Khan looks fully ready to take on terrorists for the safety of India. The newly released trailer highlights some epic death-defying stunts, aerial sequences and an eye-catching scene of Deepika in a blonde wig.

The two and a half minute video features plenty of action, including a chase scene on a frozen lake. Shah Rukh Khan returns from a break—much like his real life hiatus from films—to defend India against John Abraham's assault on the country.

While John plays the terrorist Jim, Shah Rukh Khan portrays a RAW agent. Salman Khan is also set to make a surprise appearance as Tiger in the movie.

"Pathaan" has been made by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films label. With the trailer of "Pathaan", YRF also unveiled a new 'spy universe' logo. This logo will appear in future movies, like "Tiger 3". Shah Rukh is also set to make a brief appearance in "Tiger 3".

"Besharam Rang", the first song from "Pathaan", has been mired in controversy since its release. Several people took issue with Deepika's saffron bikini in the song. After certain alterations to both the film and the song, the censor board awarded the movie a U/A certificate. On January 25, "Pathaan" will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu movie theaters.
