‘They should have a professional attitude’: Ashfaque Nipun

Acclaimed director Ashfaque Nipun has always been outspoken when it comes to current issues. He is also a dedicated sports fan, often being disappointed by Bangladesh cricket's lack of consistency.

He talked to The Daily Star about his thoughts on today's match.

"Bangladesh won their last two games by a small margin. If this was 10 years back, we could have accepted it. However, right now, this performance is disappointing", he said. "It's high time that the Bangladesh national cricket team (men) should be improving.

"If we look at Afghanistan, they have formed a team which rarely encounters a loss that is an 'upset'. Taking into account the privilege that our men's cricket team has received, they should be better. When you're a professional, you should have that attitude in you," he concluded.
