Tara Sutaria and Kartik Aaryan set to pair up in 'Aashiqui 3'

Tara Sutaria has been selected as the leading lady alongside Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu's upcoming project, "Aashiqui 3". Although recent photographs of the duo sparked dating rumors, a recent report by Zoom has refuted any such claims.

An insider revealed, "No, they are not dating, at least not at this point. It is confirmed that Tara is set to star in 'Aashiqui 3', but it's important to note that she has not yet signed the contract. As for their recent meeting, it was simply a social gathering to get better acquainted."

The original "Aashiqui", released in 1990, featured Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal and was produced by T-Series and Vishesh Films, with direction by Mahesh Bhatt. In 2013, "Aashiqui 2" revived the franchise, achieving considerable box office success. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur and directed by Mohit Suri, it carried forward the legacy of the series.

Reports suggest that the third installment of the franchise will be a spiritual successor to its predecessor. Pritam, known for his successful collaborations with Anurag Basu on films such as "Gangster," "Jagga Jasoos," "Barfi," and "Life in a... Metro," will compose the music for "Aashiqui 3".

Kartik Aaryan expressed his delight at being part of a musical love story like "Aashiqui 3", which holds personal significance for him due to his admiration for the original film. He stated, "The timeless classic 'Aashiqui' is something I grew up watching, and working on 'Aashiqui 3' is like a dream come true. I feel privileged and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. I've been a big fan of Anurag Basu's work, and partnering with him on this project will undoubtedly shape me in many ways."

Filmmaker Anurag Basu shared, "The goal is to carry the legacy forward in the best possible manner. This marks my first collaboration with Kartik Aaryan, who is renowned for his unwavering dedication and determination to his craft. I am eagerly anticipating this venture."
