Symon Sadik to temporarily serve as Film Artistes’ Association’s General Secretary

Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association's President Ilias Kanchan declared Zayed Khan's oath as General Secretary illegal. The noted actor alleged that Zayed Khan took the oath by showing off old papers from the court, which can only be termed as cheating.

The noted actor arranged a special press conference yesterday, and addressed the recent controversy.

"Zayed Khan took the oath on Friday by showcasing an old court paper from February 9. He has betrayed the trust of the media and the association. I have declared his oath absolutely illegal," said Ilias Kanchan.

"According to the rules, if the general secretary is absent, then his duty will be performed by Assistant General Secretary. Since we don't have any GS in the association for now, Symon Sadik will be the General Secretary for the time being".

"In our next meeting, we will pass the rule to ensure that Symon Sadik can fill up the role of General Secretary. As long as this matter is under court trials, Symon Sadik will serve as the General Secretary," added Ilias Kanchan.
