Excitement surrounding the release of two acclaimed movies simultaneously, "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" has taken over Bangladeshi audience as well.

Earlier on, fans were faced with inconvenience as the fans were unable to book tickets online, due to the website crashing today.

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Manager at Media and Marketing department of Star Cineplex told The Daily Star that they are currently working on getting the site back online. He suspects that too much traffic going through the site at the same time, might have caused it to crash.

Adding to the excitement, it has been revealed that British-Bangladeshi actor Ramzan Mia, who played a South Asian Ken doll in "Barbie", will attend the special premiere show of "Barbie" tonight. The premiere show will be held at the SKS Tower branch of Star Cineplex in Mohakhali.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, "Barbie" stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles, along with an ensemble cast. "Oppenheimer" on the other hand has been directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Cilian Murphy, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh and more.
