From SRK to Shahid Kapoor, Jio Studios announces 100+ OTT projects

Mukesh Ambani's newly launched OTT platform was introduced in a lavish party yesterday evening in Mumbai. Titled Jio Studios, they have also struck up an agreement with Bengali production powerhouse, SVF Entertainment.

Upon their launch, the platform has already announced the line up projects it has slated for release. These include films like "Dunki" starring Shah Rukh Khan, "Bloody Daddy" starring Shahid Kapoor, "Bhediya 2", "Stree 2" and many more titles.

They have also announced a line-up of web-series including, "Laal Batti", helmed by Prakash Jha, a political thriller that will also mark Nana Patekar's OTT debut. More titles include, "Union: The Making of India", "A Legal Affair", "Bajaao", and "Magic of Shiri" among others.

 

Moreover, the SVF agreement will see Jio Studios and the Bengali company working to create blockbuster-sized features from creators such as Dhrubo Banerjee, Raj Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya and Srijit Mukherji that star the likes of Mithun Chakraborty, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta.

The slated titles also include projects in different languages-in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, South and Bhojpuri across genres like action, drama, thriller, comedy, romance, biopics, horror and musicals.
