An anonymous letter, threatening the lives of famous Bollywood actor, Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan was discovered by the latter's security staff on a bench near the Bandra Bandstand promenade on Sunday, June 5, 2022. The Bandra Police have registered an offence against the unknown persons.

A police officer noted that the letter was left at a location that Salim Khan, on his morning routine, usually frequents. The bench is typically where Salim Khan takes a break on his morning walk.

According to the police, the letter contained death threats to both Salman and Salim Khan. "Moose wala jaisa kar dunga" said the letter. On May 29, Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, well known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was gunned down by unidentified assailants. The attack took place a day after the 28-year-old singer's security was reduced by the state government.

The police are currently conducting an investigation in the Bandra Bandstand area and checking CCTV footage to find out who left the letter there. According to the latest updates, the Maharashtra Home Department has strengthened the security for both Salman and Salim Khan.
