Reetu Sattar’s ‘Shabnam’ officially selected at Rotterdam film fest

Filmmaker Reetu Sattar's "Shabnam" has been officially selected for Ammodo Tiger Short Competition 2023 at the International Film Festival Rotterdam – IFFR.

Reetu Sattar announced the news on her Facebook account.

"Shabnam is officially selected at International Film Festival Rotterdam - IFFR for Ammodo Tiger Short Competition 2023," the post read.

She also thanked everyone  who helped her in her journey to create "Shabnam" for the audiences.

"Shabnam" centers on the historic fight between Bangladesh and East Lancashire for the delicate Muslin, which was produced in Dhaka during the 17th and 18th centuries. From there, the story moves through the migration of textile workers to Lancashire in the 20th century and back to the present-day garment workers in the same city in Bangladesh.

Reetu Sattar is planning on releasing the trailer of "Shabnam" soon on her Facebook page.
