Raz's 'Omar' looks to pull audiences to theaters

The poster of Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz's fifth directorial venture, "Omor" was released yesterday.  The director's filmography includes "Projapoti", "Tarkata", "Samraat", and "Jodi Ekdin".

Speaking to the media, Raz revealed, "The shooting for 'Omar' is scheduled to kick off in early September. As of now, I prefer not to disclose the cast."

The director believes that a good film can have multiple streams of revenue. "Apart from local theaters, there are various ways for a movie to generate revenue or investment—through international releases, rights, and sponsors," added the director.

Siddique Ahmed wrote the screenplay for the film, while Khorshed Alam will be producing it. "Omor" is being made under the banner of Master Communications.
