Priyanka and Nick become parents via surrogacy

Popular actress Priyanka Chopra and Hollywood star Nick Jonas have welcomed a baby via surrogacy.

The couple announced the news through their official Instagram account. The new parents are yet to disclose the gender of the baby, but the news portal Page Six has confirmed that it's a girl.

"We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much," the post read.

Nick Jonas also shared the same post on his social media page.

The couple's exciting announcement came just a week after Priyanka opened up to Vanity Fair that they really want children in the future.

"They're a big part of our desire for the future," the "Matrix" actress shared. "By God's grace, when it happens, it happens."

Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in 2018 through a three day extravagant wedding in India.
