President returns to theatre after four decades for 'Priyotoma'

The 22nd president of Bangladesh, Mohammed Shahabuddin, graced the Mohakhali branch of Star Cineplex, today to watch his son, Arshad Adnan's latest production, "Priyotoma". The film was produced under Arshad Adnan's Versatile Media.

Arshad Adnan, Shakib Khan, Himel Ashraf, Prince Mahmud, Nusraat Faria, and Elina Shammi, amongst other celebrities, were also present at the Cineplex.

The president attended the 8 pm screening of the film. Before entering the hall, he shared with The Daily Star, "It's been nearly four decades since I stepped into a cinema hall to watch a movie. I hope the film (Priyotoma) will be good."

Meanwhile, the director of "Priyotoma", Himel Ashraf, said, "My film has already collected Tk 37 crore."

Moreover, 'Priyotoma' is in its fourth week of screening in Australia and its second week of screening in England.

"We have also started screening in Malaysia since August 31," Himel Ashraf added.

"Priyotoma" stars Shakib Khan, Idhika Paul, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Lutfor Rahman George, Don, and Elina Shammi, amongst others.
