Please continue to keep me in your prayers: Farooque

Today marks the birthday of Akbar Hossain Pathan, better known by his stage name, Farooque. Marking this special day, a private TV channel shared a video of the actor.

While the legend had been suffering from an illness, and was also admitted in the ICU at one point, the actor clarified the rumours regarding his health. "I am fine and recovering well, please don't take false claims about my health seriously," said Farooque in the message.

He also asked his fans to continue praying for him. "Your prayers and blessings have brought me to where I am today. Please continue to keep me in your prayers," he added.

Farooque was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) while undergoing treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He then returned safely after undergoing treatment, with his doctors recommending monthly follow-ups.
