Netflix is planning to release a bare-it-all docu-film about the life of hip-hop artist and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.

The "Lungi Dance" singer revealed on his 40th birthday that a Netflix documentary about his life will be released later this year. It will be directed by Mozez Singh and will be produced by recent Oscar winner Guneet Monga.

The filmmakers released a teaser that shows Honey rapping about his life and reflecting on how far he's come.

The documentary will take his fans through previously unseen and unheard chapters of his life, via raw and candid revelations that capture both his highs and lows. It will also include interviews with his family, friends, and music collaborators who have supported him.

Honey Singh, born Hirdesh Singh in New Delhi, debuted as a Punjabi rapper in 2003. By 2011, he had hit songs like "Brown Rang," "Desi Kalakaar," and "Blue Eyes" and was also singing on Bollywood soundtracks. The singer-composer had a meteoric rise before exiting the entertainment industry in 2015. He has returned to singing and composing in recent years.
