Negative characters fascinate and attract me: Swagata

Popular actress, Zinat Sanu Swagata has established herself in the showbiz industry through her remarkable acting and singing skills. Known for her striking confidence, she has many successful television ventures to her name.

Swagata was last seen in the film "Lal Moroger Jhuti", directed by Nurul Alam Atique. Currently, she is busy working as an anchor on TV, while also acting in a few tele-fictions. Three of her dramas titled, "Nirdosh", "Elating Belating" and "Bou Shashuri" are being broadcasted on Global TV, Duronto TV and Boishakhi TV respectively.

"Acting and singing run through my blood. I have been acting since my childhood. My father used to sing, it was through him that I began learning music. My grandfather also used to work in the theatre with Leto," shared Swagata.

Meanwhile, the artiste is now the anchor of a musical reality show called, "Magic Bauliana", alongside her brother Khayam Sanu Sandhi, who is a musician. Sharing her excitement, she said, "I have been anchoring all by myself all these years. Now, it feels good to have my sibling by my side. It has been a lot of fun to anchor alongside him."

When asked about what she enjoys more, acting or anchoring, she replied, "I love both of them equally."

Swagata has also been the anchor on "Cinebit Shadakalo" and "Sonali Diner Rupali Golpo"—on Banglavision—for a long time. It was through these programmes, that she became a popular name in the world of anchoring.

Her film "Oshombhob", directed by Aruna Biswas, is currently awaiting its release.

Regarding her character in the film, she said, "In this movie, I have played the character of a girl in a jatrapala. The audience will get to see me in four new avatars in the film."

Recently, her negative role in the acclaimed web-series, "Kaiser" has garnered much praise from the audience. She has also played a negative character in the ongoing-drama show "Nirdosh".
