National Film Awards Jury finalises possible winners list

The National Film Awards Jury has made a possible list of winners of the 2020 Bangladesh National Film Awards. The categorical list will be sent to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The names of the winners will be announced after the approval of the Cabinet.

The nomination process was completed at a meeting of the jury recently, and they will send the list soon.

 Among the 28 categories, they have only recommended 26 categories, including best actresses, actors, villains, directors, choreographers, and costume designers.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announces the National Film Awards every year to encourage filmmakers to make more quality movies. They called for the submission of the films through a notification last August.

Only 27 films were submitted this year. Of these, 14 are full length, 7 are shorts, and 6 are documentaries.
