Modhumita Cinema Hall reopens tomorrow

After remaining closed for 19 months, the renowned Modhumita Cinema Hall is finally reopening tomorrow with Kolkata's Bangla film, "Baazi", informs Iftekhar Uddin Naushad, the owner of the hall.

"We are very hopeful about this resumption," he said. "We could not find any appropriate film before. Thus, the cinema hall remained closed for so long. However, the film 'Baazi' is going to be screened tomorrow and if this film does not do well, we will have to think differently."

"Cinema halls should be allowed to screen Bollywood films along with the movies from Hollywood. Otherwise, it will not be possible to keep them open. The government of Bangladesh should consider this matter," added Naushad.

Modhumita Cinema Hall remained closed since the pandemic hit Bangladesh.
