‘Mirakkel’ famed Jamil Hossain hospitalised after heart attack

Comedian and actor Jamil Hossain of "Mirakkel" fame has fallen ill, and has been admitted to the hospital. He is undergoing treatment at the National Heart Foundation in the capital. He has reportedly suffered from a heart attack.

The news of Jamil's illness has been confirmed by actress Urmila Srabanti Kar, a member of Actors' Equity Bangladesh. She prayed for his colleague's speedy recovery.

Sharing a small video message on Facebook, Urmila wrote, "The doctor confirms that Jamil bhai had a heart attack. But he's a little better than before."

In the video, Jamil also asked for prayers. He said, "I am fine, please pray for me."

Jamil had been ill for the past few days. His condition deteriorated on Thursday, (July 14). After that, was then rushed to the hospital.

The artiste originally hails from Noakhali. He participated in the sixth season of the most popular standup comedy show, 'Mirakkel', in Kolkata. There, his performances became very popular. Jamil eventually stepped into the world of acting.
