‘Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi’ to fly on Chorki soon

Dark rusty iron clads dangling from the edges of a discoloured cement wall in a deserted old mill and a board that reads 'entry without permission is restricted'– that's how the first look of Raihan Rafi's debut web film, "Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi" was unveiled online. The Chorki original film features Fazlur Rahman Babu in a rugged, torn, pale suit and an anxious but very alarmed Toma Mirza in the lead.

One of the most anticipated releases of this year, Raihan Rafi's "Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi" is a survival thriller that revolves around themes like politics, emotional conflicts, and humanity.

Set in a gloomy and low-spirited, melancholic ambience, the film was shot in the ruins of Shyampur Sugar Mill in Rangpur.

"We had to undergo a lot of trouble to shoot for this film as we first had to seek permission of the authorities to shoot at the location and the place was very frightening," shares the "Poramon 2" director.  "We had shots that were very challenging and one of our artistes, who is afraid of heights, even fainted mid shot."

The teaser of the film induces goose bumps, as Fazlur Rahman Babu is seen peeking from an old metal barrel, droplets of sweat lingering from his forehead, while Toma Mirza, veiled in an ash-green scarf peeps out anxiously from the adjacent barrel.

"I play the character of a prisoner trapped in an unpleasant place," says Fazlur Rahman Babu. "His mental state, his behaviour and how being held captive has altered his overall being — that is what I had to portray through this role. I wish the audience feels the same sadness and fretfulness through my performance."

With the poster and the teaser, the audience is eagerly waiting for the official trailer. "I am very excited about this project and I hope 'Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi' will manage to leave the audience with an awe," adds Fazlur Rahman Babu.
