I wanted everyone to listen to my music one day: Hashim Mahmud 

Hashim Mahmud, the magician behind "Shada Shada Kala Kala", has watched "Hawa".

He watched the Mejbaur Rahman Sumon directorial at Star Cineplex in Mohakhali's SKS tower, with his family. 

"I felt very happy that my song was used in this film in such a way. It made me nostalgic for my Charukala days. One day everyone will listen to my songs – that is what I wanted at that time."

Chanchal Chowdhury said, "I have known about Hashim Bhai for 25 years now. We are really happy to meet him. One day, he wanted everyone to recognise him and get his autograph. That day has finally come. Now everyone knows him through his music, this is our achievement."

There was a time when Hashim Mahmud used to sit at Charukala and sing his heart out. Now he lives in Narayanganj, with his mother. 

"Hawa", released on July 29, and is airing in 41 theatres across the country.
