‘I am happy with the progress of Kajol Rekha’ Gias Uddin Selim on his upcoming film

Renowned National Film Award-winning director Gias Uddin Selim, of "Monpura" fame, has started shooting for his upcoming film "Kajol Rekha". At present, he has finished two sessions of shooting, with two more left to go.

The director confirmed the news to The Daily Star and said, "I'm happy with the progress of the shooting of 'Kajol Rekha' as we are currently on schedule."

He also added, "For now, we are not being able to shoot due to situation around the floods. Once the flood water recedes, we will resume shooting for the film."

In response to a question, Gias Uddin Selim said, "There are some scenes in the Haor area that need to be shot. So, I'm waiting for the water to recede. 'Kajol Rekha' will bring something new for audiences to enjoy, that's all I can say for now."

Mondira Chakroborty will be playing the titular role in "Kajol Rekha". Rafiath Rashid Mithila will also be playing an important role in the film.

Gias Uddin Selim's last film was "Paap Punno" and it is still being screened in several theatres across the country.
