Harry Potter’s ‘Professor Sprout’ makes Vogue debut at 82

Miriam Margolyes, who had previously portrayed the beloved character of Professor Sprout in "Harry Potter, recently made a candour debut on the cover of Vogue Magazine at 82 years old. For the magazines Pride issue, the actress took a very candid approach in discussing about her sexuality, her work and the AIDS epidemic of the 80s.

Speaking about her widely recognised role in "Harry Potter", she told the magazine that it was 'nothing but a gig' for her. "For me Harry Potter wasn't important," she told the magazine. "I was very glad I got the part and I enjoyed being in it and meeting all the people, but it's not Charles Dickens."

Despite her feelings, Miriam remarked that she does like the adoration that the fans have toward her. People come up to me and say, 'I just love you,' and want to hug me," she said. "And that is dazzling." This is exactly what I want to be like at 82.

In her long career in the industry, she has appeared in films like, "Reds", "The Age of Innocence" and "Romeo + Juliet".
