Frustrated with delays on release dates: Mim

Bidya Sinha Mim is currently busy shooting for her Eid tele-fiction, alongside Tahsan in Mabrur Rashid Bannah's "We are husband and wife".

Amidst her packed schedules, the "Shap Ludu" actress talked about her upcoming ventures, movies, and more.

You have returned to Eid projects after a year. How does it feel working with Tahsan again?

My last Eid fiction was "Hello Baby", which was released at the end of 2020. After that, there was a huge gap, as I only wanted to work on projects which intrigue me as an artiste.

"We are husband and wife" is the story of the modern-day couple and the usual problems they face on their day-to-day lives. It was a wonderful experience working with Tahsan bhai again. He is an incredible actor, and audiences love seeing us together.

Previously, we worked together in endorsements, but the audience will see something truly special here.

How was your honeymoon in Maldives?

Maldives was one of those places that I wanted to visit for the first time with my husband. The trip was something that I will remember for ages.

It was such a surreal experience living in a beautiful small hut amidst the crystal-clear sea. We even had a wonderful candle light dinner, and even caught beautiful coloured fishes during our outing.

Is this your first work after marriage?

No, I did a couple of advertisements and a special ad-film for Women's Day, called "Dekhiye Dao".

Directed by Mahathir Spondon, the film raises awareness on people's remarks against female attires. Through such ad-films, I want to break the bias holding up against us.

Your last released film was "Shapludu", in 2019. When will "Poran" and "Antarjal" be released in theatres?

I am frustrated with the continuous delays of my movies. They tell me one date, and next thing I know it has been postponed again. I think its best if you ask the directors regarding the theatrical release of the movies.

What are your upcoming projects?

I am currently in talks to star in a movie, which is based on a real-life incident. We will officially inform about the movie soon.
