Film industry is no longer 'weak' after my return: Apu Biswas

Apu Biswas' "Laal Shari" has been released across 13 halls in theaters. Almost all five of the movies released this festival are doing fairly well in cinema halls and the actress believes she is partially responsible for it. 

In an interview with a local talk show, the actress was asked how the release of so many movies in Eid-Ul-Azha gives hope to relieve the 'weakened' film industry. 

 "Our film industry is no longer 'weak'. As soon as Apu Biswas' returned to the industry it became strong. Many people might not admit it but it's the truth," said the actress. 

"As soon as Apu returned to the silver screen, the industry got better and producers are releasing tons of movies on Eid. Earlier on, Eid used to come but no movies used to release," added the actress.
