Film Companion names Badhan as one of the coolest heroines of 2023

Azmeri Haque Badhan made a captivating debut in Bollywood with Vishal Bhardwaj's "Khufiya". Despite her limited screen time, her impeccable acting prowess and powerful expressions forged a compelling on-screen chemistry with the renowned Bollywood actress Tabu. 

Film Companion recently unveiled a list featuring Bollywood heroines who have left a lasting impact with their performances this year. Notably, our Bangladeshi actress Badhan has earned a place on the list.

Film Companion described Badhan's character, Heena Rehman, as "intensely enigmatic and alluring, capturing your attention irresistibly." The accolades poured in for the Bangladeshi star, who, with her indomitable personality, effortlessly stole the spotlight from Tabu.

"In the scene where Krishna (Tabu) visits Heena at home, the sexual tension is palpably incandescent. Badhan seamlessly weaves sensuality, intelligence, and the desperation of one cornered by circumstances into her portrayal of Heena. Azmeri Haque Badhan is now gearing up to portray a police officer in Sunny Sanwar's upcoming film, "Esha Murder". The director has officially announced that filming is set to begin in January, with the movie slated for release during Eid.
