‘Dusshahoshi Khoka’ will serve as an inspiration for the youth: Hasan Mahmud

The much-anticipated premiere of the film "Dusshahoshi Khoka" shed light on the early life of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The screening, held on Monday evening at the Film Archive Projection Hall in Agargaon, witnessed the presence of Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud.

In a press release issued by the Ministry of Information, Minister Hasan Mahmud expressed his belief, saying,

"This remarkable film will serve as an inspiration for the youth, encouraging them to lead exemplary lives. The movie offers invaluable insights into the childhood of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, helping people better understand his formative years."

The film "Dusshahoshi Khoka" unravels the journey of a young Bangabandhu from childhood to adolescence, shedding light on how this spirited teenager evolved into a politically aware, socially conscious, and compassionate individual. The movie beautifully portrays his philanthropic endeavors and his simultaneous role as a protestor for justice and humanitarian causes.

Minister Hasan Mahmud noted that while numerous films have been made about the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this is the first to focus on his childhood and adolescence, providing a unique perspective on his early years.

Among the distinguished guests at the premiere were Director Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, President of the Cinematographers Association, Abdul Latif Bachchu, President of Film Editors' Guild, Abu Musa Debu, renowned actors Riaz and Manoj Sengupta, Bangladesh Film Archive Director General, Jashim Uddin, Director General of Bangladesh Betar, Nasrullah Md Irfan, and many others.

The film "Dusshahoshi Khoka" was directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar and received support from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Following the premiere, the audience lauded the exceptional performances and production quality, particularly praising the portrayal of Bangabandhu's character by actor Shommo Joyti, along with stellar performances by Lutfar Rahman George, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Mahmuda Maha, Golam Farida Chanda, and other talented actors.

"Dusahasi Khoka" is set to hit theaters on September 29.
