Dipankar Dipon shares updates on his films ‘Operation Sundarban’ and ‘Antarjal’

Due to the global pandemic, the film fraternity has been suffering tremendously on all fronts. Dipankar Dipon directorial "Operation Sundarban", a much anticipated film, was also delayed due to the crisis.

The film, starring Riaz, Siam Ahmed, Nusraat Faria Mazhar and Raisul Islam Asad among others, is set to release in the first week of January, 2022. The news was confirmed by the director himself to The Daily Star.

"The post production of the film is complete, while the Mumbai team is working on the VFX," shares Dipon. "We are hopeful to submit the film to the Censor Board in November."

The film is produced by RAB Welfare Cooperative Society Limited and Three Wheelers Limited.

At the same time, shoots of the director's forthcoming cyber thriller "Antarjal" is undergoing. "We are done filming the major portions of 'Antarjal'", informs the "Dhaka Attack" director.

"Rest of the part will be done sometime before and after Puja. Also, we need to shoot overseas, thus, we are still in dilemma to choose location." The maker also said that their plan was to locate the set in Europe or Australia, however, due to Covid-19 situation; everything now depends on visa restrictions and permission. Thus, they are now open for anywhere in Asia.

"Antarjal", featuring Bidya Sinha Mim, Siam Ahmed, Sunerah Binte Kamal, and ABM Sumon among others, is expected to wrap up within October.
