Did you know these stars were childhood neighbours?

In a recent interview with an Indian outlet, Vidya Balan revealed that her connection with fellow actors Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora goes a long way back. 

Shilpa Shetty was her senior in school while Malaika Arora was her neighbour in the Chembur locality in Mumbai, where Vidya grew up.

Vidya recalled, "Shilpa was my senior by I think three years. She was always the hottie. She was also a basketball player. I remember one day, my mom decided I should play basketball. At 6 in the morning, I was set off to play basketball. And there were already murmurs that Shilpa might be joining the movies and stuff like that. And I remember she was so sweet. I'll never forget she taught me how to dribble the ball".

Speaking about Malaika Arora, the actor reminisced that despite attending another school, Malaika would often pass by her lane for her French tuitions. She also hilariously added that during that time, boys would wait for Malaika to pass by, remarking that "Just Chembur has produced too many hotties".

Vidya Balan's family is originally from Tamil Nadu, but she was born and brought up in Chembur, Mumbai.
