Did Suga's tattoo reveal cause Seoul subway chaos?

Seoul witnessed a thrilling finale to BTS member Suga's D-Day concert at the KSPO Dome on Sunday, with an electrifying crowd in attendance. However, the excitement didn't end there. As BTS fans, known as the ARMY, were making their way home via the subway, an unexpected incident occurred near one of the stations. The commotion was reportedly triggered by Suga's tattoo reveal during a live session on Weverse, leading to an unforeseen chain of events.

During the concluding performance, Suga stunned fans by removing his jacket and briefly displaying his "7" friendship tattoo. This marked the first public unveiling of the tattoo, which Suga had inked over a year ago on his shoulder, where he had previously sustained an injury. As part of a customary tradition, Suga engaged in a live session on Weverse after the concert. 

During this interactive session, fans requested a glimpse of his tattoo. In response, Suga good-humouredly complied, revealing the artwork that led to the subsequent subway incident.

As numerous BTS ARMY members were traveling in the subway following the concert, Suga's tattoo reveal prompted a wave of excitement. Multiple reports from Korean media outlets revealed that fans' ecstatic reactions inside the metro caused a sudden uproar, setting off an alarm. This, in turn, resulted in chaos, with passengers rushing and falling amid the confusion.

It was later revealed, reportedly, the screams of the fan were not only caused by Suga's tattoo reveal. The excitement among the fans was combined with speculations about a potential gas leakage, which swiftly generated panic among passengers. 

The situation escalated, leading to a frenzy of people in motion. Before the train could reach its next stop, Sinnonhyun, seven individuals sustained injuries, prompting an immediate evacuation of the subway as a panicked crowd ensued.

Subsequent to the event, numerous accounts were sent to various sources, including the media, police, and fire department. These reports highlighted both the sudden scream and an unfamiliar odor resembling gas within the train.

However, there was a degree of misrepresentation on the internet, particularly through platforms like Pannchoa and Theqoo. They inferred that the ARMYs and their response were solely responsible for the ensuing commotion. This depiction was later found to be inaccurate. 

Despite the unexpected turn of events, BTS fans quickly rallied on social media, expressing their support for the group.
