Daisy Ahmed discharged from hospital

Renowned actress and Rabindra Sangeet artiste Daisy Ahmed, who was hospitalised after suffering from breathing difficulties and low oxygen levels, returned home on Monday (September 20). 

Her daughter, Oindrila Ahmed, confirmed the news to The Daily Star. "After a pacemaker was fitted on her chest, my mother stayed at the hospital for five more days. We brought her home, after discussions with her doctor. She is feeling much better now," added Oindrila. 

"We have appointed a nurse for my mother, who will look after her at home. We will take my mother to the hospital again after five days, for some tests. I request everyone to pray for her." 

Daisy Ahmed is the wife of late eminent actor Bulbul Ahmed. Her daughter, Oindrila Ahmed, is a popular actress, while her sister Laila Hasan is a renowned dancer.

September 4, 2021, marked Bulbul Ahmed's 80th birth anniversary. Daisy Ahmed suddenly lost consciousness on that day. She had previously tested positive for Covid-19 as well, adding to the various old-age ailments that she suffers from. She was hospitalised the following day.

She was kept under observation at the CCU of a private hospital in Dhaka. Later on, she had a pacemaker fitted on her chest, after her pulse rate started to drop.
