Condition of actress Akhee still unchanged

Recently, small-screen actress, Sharmeen Akhee suffered major burns from an explosion. She is currently undergoing treatment at the high-dependency unit (HDU) at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. In the last two days, her condition has remained unchanged.

According to sources, she was initially improving, but the plasma in her blood started to decrease. After her condition weakened, she is currently being injected with plasma. The actress may be shifted to a cabin soon.

Earlier on, Chief Coordinator of the institute, Dr Samanta Lal Sen told The Daily Star that her condition was critical with 35 percent burns. Doctors are treating her with the utmost priority.

Actress Akhee was seriously injured in an explosion in the make-up room of a shooting location in Mirpur, last Saturday. Several parts of Akhee's body, including her hands, legs, and hair were burnt in the explosion.
