The second round of "Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2022" was held at the Hall of Fame at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) today (October 21, 2023).

The objective of this award programme is to recognise and celebrate individuals in the entertainment sector, including artistes, content producers, and all those who make valuable contributions to the industry.

Across 28 categories, the awards programme honoured and acknowledged the most deserving artistes, content creators, and their work. The awards were conferred based on a combination of evaluations from an expert jury panel and the input of thousands of fans who voted.

The inauguration speech of the event was delivered by Omar Hannan, General Manager of Ispahani Tea Limited, while Mahfuz Anam, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star ended the show by handing over the final awards alongside the legendary Runa Laila..

The red-carpet event preceding the show was hosted by popular faces Yash Rohan and Sarah Alam. Hosts Rafsan Sabab, Amin Hannan Chowdhury, Aisha Khan and Naziba Basher hosted throughout the running of the award show by taking turns to make the most out of the night, utilising their respective forms of quick-witted humour.

A minute of silence was observed for the National Mourning Day in honour of Palestenian victims of the recent Israel attacks.

Actresses Tasnia Farin, Sohana Saba and dancer Ridy Sheikh took up the mantle of dance performers for the night and put forward the finest performances to represent the enthralling mood of the night.
