Young Bangladeshi filmmaker Mohammad Rabby Mridha's "Paayer Tolai Mati Nai" has been selected for the 26th Busan International Film Festival, held in South Korea. The film will be screened on October 7, 8, and 13 in the A Window on Asian Cinema section of the festival.

This is the first time that three Bangladeshi films have been chosen to be showcased simultaneously at the festival. Abdullah Mohammad Saad's "Rehana Maryam Noor". Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's "No Land's Man", and Mohammad Rabby Mridha's "Paayer Tolai Mati Nai", has been selected to be shown at the prestigious film festival.

"Paayer Tolai Mati Nai" is produced by noted director-producer Abu Shahed Emon. Presented by Box Office and Golpo Rajjo films, the film is co-produced by Impress Telefilm Limited and Batayan Productions.

The film narrates the story of an ordinary man named Saiful, who has to go through various conflicts with his two wives, family, work, morality, and sociality.

Mir Mokarram Hossain is the executive producer while Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Impress Telefilm and Tahrima Khan of Batayan Productions are the co-producers on the film, which stars Mostafa Monwar, Priyam Archi, and Dipannita Martin, among others.

The Busan International Film Festival is being organised in South Korea every year for the past 26 years, featuring films from new Asian filmmakers and films from other countries.

Held in collaboration with the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and organised by Busan City and the Korean Film Council, the programme has already secured its place as one of the most prestigious film festivals around the world.

Like every year, the festival is going to be held in October. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival was held online last year. This year, the festival will run from October 8 to 15.
