The "Mirzapur" famed actor Ali Fazal is all set to appear in his second international film in Ric Roman Waugh's upcoming directorial, "Kandahar". The action-packed project portrays the story of a CIA officer fleeing to Kandahar, Afghanistan, with his translator.

The movie was written by Mitchell LaFortune, and produced by the renowned Hollywood actor Gerard Butler, who will also be portraying the lead role of the CIA officer Tom Harris in the project.

"Kandahar" is expected to soon greet the audience on May 26, 2023. The film counts as Fazal's second international film, after "Death on the Nile" reached the silver screen last year.

Speaking about the film, Fazal shared with the media, "I look forward to it. As I do with all the movies I make. I can promise that the action is never before seen state-of-the-art stuff. Director Ric Roman is beating his own record. The team has really worked hard. It was a great pleasure for me to work with Gerard, and since it is looking at a worldwide release, we are hoping people across the globe enjoy it."

Ali Fazal was last seen in the film "Tadka" co-starring Nana Patekar, Shriya Saran, and Taapsee Pannu last year.
