5 new on-screen pairs to look forward to

A host of our favourite stars are pairing up for the first time on-screen in different upcoming projects. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation about how they would fare in their given roles. Check out what these pairs have in store for us.

Shakib Khan and Puja Chery in 'Golui'

Shakib Khan and Puja Chery will be starring in S A Haque Alik's government-granted film, "Golui".

"I knew very little about Puja's films before we got this project. However, I can say that she has a very bright future, and audiences will get to see our wonderful chemistry in the film," said Shakib Khan in a previous interaction with The Daily Star.

Sariful Razz and Pori Moni in 'Gunin'

Sariful Razz and Pori Moni will be starring in Gias Uddin Selim's "Gunin".

"I have watched Pori Moni in Selim bhai's 'Swapnojaal', and I felt that she is immensely talented. Also, she is a great human being with a bold personality and a good soul. I am looking forward to working with her," shared Razz in an earlier interaction with The Daily Star.

Sariful Razz and Mim in 'Poran'

Sariful Razz and Mim have paired up in Raihan Rafi's "Poran", which is based on the gruesome Rifat murder that happened on June 26, 2019 in front of Barguna Government College.

The story revolves around the incident when Rifat Sharif and his wife Ayesha Siddika Minni became victims of a gruesome attack in Barguna.

The case became a national sensation overnight, when Minni was convicted of being the "mastermind" behind the murder. "Poran" also stars Yash Rohan in a pivotal role.

Yash Rohan and Nusraat Faria in 'Pordar Arale'

Nusraat Faria has paired up with Yash Rohan for a new web film titled "Pordar Arale". Scripted and directed by Parvez Amin, the project is a Bengal Multimedia production.

It is a thriller that focuses on the lives of two film stars from two generations. Yash will play a CID officer in the film.

Siam and Bubly in 'Taan'

Popular stars Siam and Bubly will share the screen for the first time in Chorki's original film "Taan".

Directed by Raihan Rafi and written by Siddique Ahmed, the story centres on the couple Oboni and Rashed, who elope together and find themselves under horrible circumstances.
