The inaugural event of Platforms, a programme dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant art scene of Bangladesh, was held on October 13, at Aloki. Platforms is essentially an online art gallery, that launched its official website on September 25.

In an attempt to draw out artists and artwork, this online platform arranged for the introductory event. It featured an exhibition showcasing the diverse and vibrant artistic expressions within Bangladesh.

At least 25 artists' artworks, including renowned painter Zainul Abedin, have been placed on its website. Platforms' authorities expect it to continue to grow.

The event also featured a showcase of emerging talents, including Sumon Wahed, Sulekha Chowdhury, and Soma Surovi Jannat. These artists collectively embodied the spirit of creativity and innovation that Platforms aims to foster, in Bangladesh's art scene.

Complementing the art display, an instrumental musical programme provided an auditory backdrop to the event. Apart from this, noted figures from different industries participated in the exhibition.

Rayana Hossain, founder of Platforms, stated, "Platforms is a labor of love, dedicated to the art community of Bangladesh. We are dedicated to providing a platform for artists to thrive and share their talent with the world. Our inaugural event was a reflection of the artistic richness that defines our culture."
