Penned by Rahman Chowdhury and helmed by the Mohammad Bari, "'Harmachis Cleopatra" marks the ninth production by the theatre troupe.

Mohammad Bari, the driving force behind Anuswar and the director of the play, shared insights about "'Harmachis Cleopatra", stating, "If the name of the strangest human emotion is love, then the biggest psychological conflict is the harsh reality. Within this duality, many people have occasionally strayed onto the wrong path. Yet, some, in pursuit of recognition of their love, have embraced reality with unwavering determination. ''Harmachis Cleopatra' serves as a stark reflection of the eternal choice between love and reality, set against the backdrop of ancient Egypt."

"'Harmachis Cleopatra" narrates the compelling story of Harmachis, a character hailing from ancient Egypt's rich history. Being ordered by the gods to safeguard Egypt from foreign forces, Harmachis infiltrates Cleopatra's palace, assuming the role of the royal astrologer. His intention to assassinate Cleopatra takes an unexpected turn as love, deception, and betrayal interweave.

SR Sompod takes on the role of Hermachis, while Fauzia Karim Anu graces the stage as Cleopatra. The cast also includes Marina Mitu, Proshanta Halder, and Saif Suman among others.
