Deepika becomes a fierce cop in ‘Singham’s’ cop-universe

After donning the avatar of a spy in "Pathaan" and playing the innocent housewife in "Jawan", Deepika has now geared up to become a fierce cop in Rohit Shetty's third installment of "Singham", titled "Singham Again".

Taking to her social media accounts, the actress has recently shared the first look at her new avatar as the cop and captioned the post stating, "Introducing… Shakti Shetty!"

In the picture, Deepika is seen as a fierce cop heralding in fire and blood. In her police uniform, her face has streaks of blood as she sits triumphantly atop the bodies of several criminals.

Her look as Shakti Shetty has captured quite a stir and anticipation amongst her fans and followers. Moreover, it has even earned the attention of many other celebrities who praised her new avatar under her post.

Ajay Devgn who will be donning his "Singham" avatar once more in "Singham Again", wrote beneath her post, "Welcome to the squad Deepika Padukone". Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Jakie Shroff, and many others joined in, and applauded the actress.

"Singham Again" will again pair up Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor just like in "Singham Returns" (2014). Additionally, fans will also get to see Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh portraying their respective cop characters from "Sooryavanshi" and "Simmba" – as special appearances.

The third installment of the "Singham" franchise is slated to hit the theatres next year on August 15 which is also celebrated as Independence Day in India.

Furthermore, Deepika Padukone is also expected to appear in the Prabhas starrer upcoming sci-fi film, "Kalki 2898", as well as the Hrithik Roshan starrer action project "Fighter" in the near future.
