In a world of streaming, ‘Icche Amar’ preserves sentimental value of CDs

Aajob Records has released a complete eight-song album titled "Ichche Amar". The cover of this much-awaited album was unveiled by the renowned lyricist and composer, Prince Mahmud, at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Auditorium recently.

The entire album features songs written and composed by Ketan Sheikh, with musical arrangements skilfully crafted by Joy Shahriar. A line-up of remarkable artistes, including Nachiketa Chakraborty, Fahmida Nabi, Elita Karim, Joy Shahriar, Konal, Ronti Das, Abanti Sithi, and Rehan Rasul, have lent their melodious voices to this musical masterpiece. Yesterday marked the digital release of the album on all major streaming platforms and on CDs as well.

Prince Mahmud expressed his delight, stating, "It was a pleasure to witness the arrangement of an entire album. The magic of hearing eight talented artistes come together is truly exceptional. I wish this album immense success."

 

Joy Shahriar pointed out the sentimental value of CDs for some music enthusiasts who are collectors. He said, "Although digital streaming has become the primary mode of music consumption nowadays, there are still cassette collectors in the city. Hence, the CD release caters to the preferences of these dedicated collectors."

"Additionally, the album's availability on various streaming platforms ensures easy access for both local and international audiences," he added.

Ketan Sheikh, the creative force behind "Ichcha Amar", shared his excitement about this being his first mixed album with both lyrics and music. He remains hopeful that the audience will warmly receive their heartfelt compositions.

The occasion was graced by the presence of artistes Ronti Das and Abanti Sithi, among others.
