In an interview with The Sun, Michael Jackson's brother, Tito, announced that new music featuring Michael's never before heard tracks will be recorded and released by his siblings.

They are willing to go all lengths and work with anything possible. Tito also expressed his joy of being on a record with his brother once again.

Referring to Sony, which purchased the King of Pop's share of the Sony/ATV music publishing catalogue with $750 million in 2016, Tito said that although things were out of hand, they always tried to gain the Jacksons' participation, and in return, they are glad to offer. He also mentioned that plans are underway for a first studio release of The Jacksons since 1989.

Two albums have been released since Jackson's death in 2009: 'Michael' (2010) and 'Xscape' (2014). Drake and Lenny have also featured his vocals on their singles. 'Thriller', one of his most successful albums, was recently certified 34x platinum in the US, which helped maintain its position as the second best selling album in the US ever.
