Official theme song for ‘Dhaka Summer Con 2023’ released

Deemed as the country's biggest pop culture festival, "Dhaka Summer Con 2023" will be returning this July. On Monday, the official theme song for the pop culture festival was released on social media. Titled "Escape", the song has been arranged jointly by heavy metal band Mechanix, along with musicians Raef Al Hasan Rafa, Shishir Ahmed and Black Zang.

The song has been penned by Sheikh M Reaz, drummer of Mechanix. "Escape" also contains a rap verse by Black Zang. Shishir Ahmed directed and supervised the composition of the song.

Speaking about the song, Mechanix vocal Aftabuzzaman Tridib said, "Mechanix is always committed to giving fans something new. Our plan remained the same with this theme song of 'Dhaka Summer Con'. I hope everyone will listen to the song and make the festival a success by participating in the festival."

Arranged by MediaQuest, "Dhaka Summer Con 2023" is going to be held for three days on July 13, 14 and 15 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. "Escape" is the first theme song ever created for a pop culture festival. The festival will contain all sorts of events like, comics, cosplay, concert, gaming, k-pop, hip-hop and art.
