Coke Studio Bangla returns with ‘Murir Tin’

Earlier today, Coke Studio Bangla arrived at six locations across four divisions—Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna and Sylhet.

The event featured a number of activities, including fan interactions. Present at the venues were Coke Studio artistes. Shayan Chowdhury Arnob and Pritom Hasan were present at the event in Dhaka, which took place at Rabindra Sarobar, in Dhanmondi. 

Around 6 pm, the first song from the new season was screened live at all six locations. Simultaneously, the new songs were broadcast live on the YouTube and Facebook page of Coke Studio Bangla.

However, prior to the official release, a one-minute preview of "Murir Tin"— the first song from season 2—had already been leaked online.

During the event, the two artistes reprised songs from their previous albums, with Arnob performing "Shey Jey Boshey Achey", while Pritom gave a rendition of "Jadukor". Along with the release of "Murir Tin", the event also showed a lyric video for the song, highlighting the three dialects from Sylhet, Chattogram and Khulna that were used in the song.

"Murir Tin" features rapper Pollob Vai and Towfique Ahmed, along with Riad Hasan. The song has been composed and arranged by Shuvendu Das Shuvo. Riad Hasan wrote and composed the song, while Pollob Vai and Towfique Ahmed wrote the Sylheti and Khulna rap segments respectively.
