Are you ready for ‘Saudi Idol’?

Saudi Idol, an extension of talent show franchise 'Idol', will air before the end of the year.

Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) of Saudi Arabia Turki al-Sheikh announced the information this week.

The filming is scheduled to begin next month, launching in collaboration with Saudi Arabia's GEA and MBC Group. The first episode will air in December this year, reports Al Arabiya news.

Saudi singers Aseel Abu Bakr, Ahlam, Asala and Majid al-Mohandes will be the judges in the show, which will look to discover new Saudi singing talent.

Set to be broadcast on MBC 1, Saudi Idol be divided into two categories -- auditions and live shows, Al Arabiya reported on Saturday.
