e-Commerce Association Bangladesh (eCAB) meets the press

Press conference of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) took place recently at the V I P Lounge of National Press Club. Established to ensure the growth of the e-Commerce sector in Bangladesh, e- CAB held this press conference to address some of the most pressing matters with the members of Advisory Council, Executive Committee and Standing Committee as well as owners and high officials of different e-Commerce companies and members of the print and electronic media.

N I Khan, Secretary of Ministry of Education was present at the press conference. He expressed his strong support towards the e-Commerce industry of the country. Mr. N I Khan said, “It is needless to elaborate the importance of e-Commerce in the present day world. Our government is devoted to build Digital Bangladesh and e-Commerce will play an important role in this regard. We must work together to spread the blessings of e-Commerce in 64 districts and 68,000 villages of Bangladesh.”

e-CAB will focus on seven areas- online shops, e-Payment and transaction, e-Security, e-Commerce awareness and training, e-Commerce policy and guideline, delivery service, and e-Services.

In order to achieve its goals, e-CAB formed twenty standing committees that will work on different aspects of e-Commerce. They are- e-Commerce Policy & Guideline, e-Payment & Transaction, Compliance & Fraud Management, International Trade, Rural e-Commerce, Entrepreneurship Development, Government Affairs, e-Commerce Awareness, e-Security, e-Banking & Mobile Commerce, Facebook Commerce (F-Commerce), Digital Content, Delivery Service, Digital Marketing, Media & Communication, Quality Improvement, Women in e-Commerce, Affiliate Marketing, e-Tourism & Travel, and Tele-medicine and e-Health.
