DU students hold business journalism workshop

Voice of Business (VOB) hosted a business journalism workshop and awarded winners of a writing contest at the business studies faculty of Dhaka University on Sunday.
Beginning in 2007, VOB is a business magazine published by the students of the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University, the faculty said in a statement.
Shah Md Taha Islam won the most methodical writer award with Jarin Najnin being most adroit writer, and Md Ahsanul Kabir Palash won the riveting article writer award.
“One of our objectives at VOB is to provide business students with the feel of business world,” Osman Dhali Tushar, president of the publication.
“In today's competitive world, extracurricular activities and extra knowledge are as important as CGPA. I am really proud of VOB for organising this event,” said Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, dean of business studies faculty at Dhaka University.
