The High Court today directed the government not to show four BNP senior leaders arrested in any case “without the due process of law”.
The leaders are--BNP standing committee members MK Anwar, Moudud Ahmed, Rafiqul Islam Mia, and the party chairperson’s special assistant Shimul Biswas

According to the HC order, police cannot implicate or show them arrested in any more case if their names are not in the first information report (FIR) and if there is no specific allegation, their lawyer, AKM Ehsanur Rahman, told The Daily Star.
He said police had already shown them held in five cases although their names were not in the FIRs.
The HC bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice Md Habibul Gani passed the orders after hearing four separate petitions by the detained BNP leaders.

Moudud, Anwar and Rafiqul were picked up in front of Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on November 8 last year, while Shimul near Khaleda's Gulshan residence a day later.
