Doctors find ‘no recent evidence’ of abuse in Happy

Actress Naznin Akhter Happy who came under limelight for accusing Bangladesh cricketer Rubel Hossain of cheating her was not subjected to any recent physical abuse, medical test says.

The forensic department at the Dhaka Medical College (DMC) today reported on the tests carried out on the actress and said that she was not subjected to any violation recently.

Head of the department, Professor Habibuzzaman, told The Daily Star that the report was prepared by a three-member women team of medical professionals.

“We handed the report to the official concerned at Mirpur Police Station around 3:15pm,” he added.

The medical test was carried out after a case was filed by the actress under the Women & Children Repression Prevention Act on December 13.

On December 15, the High Court granted anticipatory bail to Bangladesh pacer Rubel Hossain for four weeks in a woman-torture case filed by the actress.

Happy alleged that Rubel lured her into an affair but later refused to marry. However, in the course of events, the actress once said she would withdraw the case if Rubel marries her.
