Doctor and staffer of Kuwait Maitree Hospital test positive for Covid-19

A doctor and a staffer of Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital have tested Covid-19 positive, hospital sources have confirmed today.

The doctor is from the alternative medicine section while the staffer is an office assistant.

As they had been showing coronavirus-like symptoms for a couple of days, their samples were collected and sent to the IEDCR on Monday, a doctor at the hospital said.

The test results came positive yesterday, the doctor wishing not to be named said. 

Talking to The Daily Star, Dr Sarwarul Alam, director of the hospital confirmed that a doctor and a staffer have tested Covid-19 positive.

Around 60 doctors and consultants and 85 nurses along with some other staffers have been treating Covid-19 patients in the hospital.
