Debate contest starts in Ctg

The debate competition “SK+F 3rd NDF BD-CMC DC Medical College Debate Festival-2014” was launched in Chittagong city yesterday.
Organised by National Debate Federation Bangladesh, Chittagong Medical College Students Union and Chittagong Medical College Debating Club, the competition was held in Shah Alam Bir Uttam Auditorium of Chittagong Medical College (CMC). Eskayef Bangladesh Ltd is sponsoring the event.
Students of public and private medical colleges of Bangladesh will participate in the two-day festival.
Prof Selim Mohammad Jahangir, principal of CMC; Dr Mujibul Haque Khan, president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), Chittagong unit; Syed Ishtiaque Reza, director of news at Ekattor TV and AKM Shoaib, chairman of National Debate Federation Bangladesh, among others, spoke.
A total of 14 teams from 10 government and private medical colleges of Bangladesh are participating in the debate competition. The colleges are: Dhaka Medical College, Chittagong Medical College, Mymensingh Medical College, Comilla Medical College, Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal, Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College, Bagura, Cox's Bazar Medical College, Chattagram Ma O Shishu Hospital Medical College, Ibn Sina Medical College and Popular Medical College.
