Deal inked for construction supervision of Padma bridge

The government today inked a Tk 383 crore deal with a Korean consortium for supervising the consultancy work of Padma bridge project.

The deal was signed between Bridge Division under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Korean Expressway group comprising seven companies at Bridge Bhaban at Mohakhali in Dhaka.

Shafiqul Islam, project director of Padma bridge, and Cho Nan Min, team leader of the association, signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.

The deal will be effective for five years.

The companies are: Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC), South Korea (Lead Partner), Pyunghwa Engineering Consultants Ltd, Korea Engineering Consultants Corporation, SUNJIN Engineering and Architecture Comapany Ltd (SUNJIN), ACE Consultants Ltd (Bangladesh) and DevConsultants Ltd (DevCon), Bangladesh.
